🏖️ Liapades (Gefyra) Beach
This is the main beach of Liapades, also known locally as Gefyra Beach. It sits in a scenic bay with clear turquoise waters and a mix of sand and pebbles, framed by lush green hills and dramatic cliffs. The atmosphere is relaxed and authentic, with a few tavernas, cafés, and facilities right by the shore. It’s a great spot for swimming, snorkelling, sunbathing, or renting a pedal boat or kayak. Water taxis and boat hire options make it easy to explore nearby coves and hidden beaches.
🌿 Rovinia Beach
Just south of the main bay, Rovinia is one of the most beautiful coves in the area. It’s less developed and often reached by boat or by footpath from Liapades. With white pebbles, clear water, and stunning natural surroundings, it’s perfect for snorkelling or enjoying a quieter beach experience away from the main beach crowds.
🪸 Paradise Beach (Chomi)
Often called Chomi or “Paradise Beach,” this impressive spot lives up to its name. Only accessible by boat, it has crystal‑clear water and pebble shores set against striking rocky formations. It’s ideal for swimming, relaxing, and photography, though families with small children should note the water gets deep quickly.
🌅 Glyko Beach
A little further along the coast, Glyko is a small, secluded pebble beach with very clear water and beautiful views to the green mountains. There are no facilities here, so it’s perfect for visitors who like a quiet, natural stop — bring your own water and snacks!
🏝️ Other Nearby Coves
The coastline around Liapades is dotted with many small, wild coves that can be easily reached by boat (or by adventurous hikers). These include beaches like:
- Klimatia
- Limni
- Kolias
- Iliodoros
Each of these offers stunning water and scenery, perfect for swimming or a scenic boat tour.
💡 Tips for Visiting
- Most beaches here are pebble‑covered, so water shoes can make swimming more comfortable.
- Boat trips from Liapades are one of the best ways to explore these hidden spots.
- Parking near the main beach can be limited in peak season, and the access road is narrow, so arriving early is recommended.
